The art of contouring, like any make-up look, requires some know-how and practice. Whether it’s your first time or you’re simply trying to hone your craft, here are easy guides and video tutorials to achieve that naturally sculpted look. Become an expert on how to contour and highlight the face.

Our Contour & Highlight Collection features a range of contouring and highlighting products including the Contour Palette, Highlight Palette and Contour Fluid Trio

If you’re not sure which product is right for you, our first tip is to consider your skin type. If you have oily skin, using powder-based contouring products such as our Contour Palette will help add depth and definition to your face while controlling oil and shine.

If you have dry skin, we recommend using a lightweight, liquid-based product such as our Contour Fluid Trio to hydrate and contour simultaneously.

After selecting your contour product of choice, start with a fresh clean face and prime your skin with Perfecting Primer. The primer extends make-up wear and smooths the skin to create an even, luminous base for make-up application.

The next step involves applying your desired foundation and/or concealer before contouring. This step is optional and dependant on what look you would like to achieve.

For an every-day look, simply apply the Sheer Glow BB Cream or a lightweight foundation such as the Radiant Loose Powder Foundation. If you’re after a full coverage look use the Flawless Pressed Powder Foundation or Flawless Liquid Foundation and conceal any dark spots or blemishes using the Flawless Liquid Concealer.

How To Contour Using The Contour Fluid Trio

The Contour Fluid Trio comes in three shades in a fine fluid texture which melts into the skin to create a soft, dewy finish. For best results, we recommend using the Pointed Precision Brush for application.

How To Contour Using The Contour Palette

The Contour Palette has three matte shades to create depth and dimension that is buildable from a natural finish to a deeper intensity look. For best results, we recommend using the Ultimate Perfecting Brush for application.

Once you’re happy with your look, lightly brush a finishing powder such as our Transluscent Loose Finishing Powder or Mattifying Pressed Setting Powder all over the face using a Finishing Brush, focusing on the T-zone and under the eyes to finish your look and extend your make-up wear.
